Colorado Hires Digital Transformation Officer![]() Brandon Williams, who has led the state’s Google Services team for the last four years, will be the state’s first DTO. He will report to the Chief Technology Officer, David McCurdy, and work with state agencies to align user and customer experience their strategic business plans. He will also partner with educational and government organizations to host rapid innovation events, which will be designed to innovate, inspire and create impactful solutions for our state agencies and our citizens.
Secretary of Technology and Chief Information Officer Suma Nallapati says, “This move is key to OIT’s commitment to customer experience as a core part of how OIT builds IT solutions for its customers.” Brandon Williams adds, “This is really about putting the customer and the citizen first. I believe we can transform their experiences with government and make their lives easier with the work we plan to do.” One of the first projects of the DTO will be to work with user experience teams to ensure that public-facing touch points across the state, such as websites and portals to key citizen services, are maximized for ease of use.
