myColorado Launched as Official Mobile Application for Government Services

[DENVER, CO] -- The Governor’s Office of Information Technology has launched myColorado as the State of Colorado’s official mobile application for accessing government services. The app reaches Coloradans where they are in the digital space and is an example of the state’s customer-centric approach to service delivery for its residents.

“Our goal from the very first week of my administration was to simplify government for our citizens. The initial services on myColorado are just the beginning.  We want to make working with the state as easy and convenient as possible. I can’t wait to see what will be added next!” said Governor John Hickenlooper.

“myColorado showcases the innovative side of technology development within the State of Colorado,” said Suma Nallapati, Secretary of Technology and State Chief Information Officer. “It allows Coloradans to access government services on a platform with a strong foundation for security and identity verification so they can feel confident that their personal data will be protected.”

The first state service available through the app is driver license renewal, with additional government services being planned for future releases. As an added convenience, users can securely store payment information for future in-app purchases. myColorado users can also opt-in to receive push communications such as renewal notifications and important state information like disaster declarations, weather emergencies or road closures.

myColorado is a free application that can be downloaded from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. More information can be found at
