CTO Advisory Council

Technology continues to improve the way we communicate, collaborate, and enables us to be more agile, effective and efficient, both at work and at play. To better serve the State of Colorado's workforce, citizens and businesses, it is imperative that we continue to innovate and improve our service offerings. One way that the Office of Information Technology is tackling this challenge is through the formation of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Advisory Council.

This Council, which will be comprised of members from the public and private sectors, will serve several important functions. It is tasked to recommend frameworks, technologies and architectures that may be of benefit to the State's Enterprise Architecture and technology infrastructures and applications and ultimately make recommendations to the Secretary of Technology/State Chief Information Officer, who will inform the Governor.

With a focus on public/private collaboration, as well as emerging technologies, the Council will help drive innovation - one of Governor Hickenlooper's priorities in the Colorado Blueprint.

The Council will provide us with greater insight into how the private sector may help improve how technology is used in the public sector while also discovering new collaboration opportunities between the two sectors that offer advantages that neither entity can enjoy on their own.
